Looking for Alaska is American author John Green's debut novel, published in March 2005 by Dutton Juvenile. Based on his time at Indian Springs School, Green wrote the novel as a result of his desire to create meaningful young adult fiction

  


2. Wise and Otherwise:

A very simple book written directly through the heart that instantly connects readers with its soulful content. This book is a collection of life experiences in the form of 51 short stories that the author has experienced at different stages of life. An easy-going book that can be recommended for both teenagers and grownups.   

While reading and referring to it, I have felt that sometimes witnessing and noticing small things and small gesture does play an important role to look at life closely and positively. Sudha Murty has explored many places in the country while performing her job and met many people from different corners of different regions. Her stories focus on the various parts and cultures of India. These are moral stories that showcase aspects of honesty, truth, sacrifice, the importance of education, self-respect, and many more.

5. The Richest man in Babylon 

The Richest Man in Babylon is a 1926 book by George S. Clason that dispenses financial advice through a collection of parables set 4,000 years ago in ancient Babylon. The book remains in print almost a century after the parables were originally published, and is regarded as a classic of personal financial advice



6. Autobiography of YOGI

This book answered my many questions about awakening. It gave me insight into some things that I didn't know and validated many of the feelings that I've been having over the past few years. How wonderful it is to be awake with peace and wholeness. This is another of my favourite books! 

I can highly recommend “Autobiography of a Yogi” for every person on any spiritual path, or none at all and who are simply seeking a better way of living and some direction as to how to find happiness and meaning in their own lives. Life always gives you what you need, and right now it has given you this book to use as a guide or companion through challenging times. It contains a great deal of precious wisdom, expressed in the straightforward, clear, and simple language.




7. Ignited Minds

This is a book that should be mainly read by all youngsters of India. This book inspires you to dream big and to have a great vision. It contains many answers to the questions that Dr.kalam was asked by the youngsters of India and narrates many incidents of his life.






8. The Warren Buffet Way

It explains complex concepts used by Warren Buffet himself along with Case Studies of the 9 Investments bought by him in a very simple language which is very easy to understand. The Tenets were an eye opener as it shows how any Business can be evaluated. This book is a Must read as per Legendary Investor Mohnish Pabrai as well, and the book does justice in the way it is written. This book will help you create the building blocks to develop your methodology if you are keen on managing your own money as well






9. Linchpin

One special read I must say. It will truly alter the way you think and perceive things, in a non-norm manner. We're always to taught to focus on the goals & outcomes which is true however, at some point it might lead to us straying off from our true purpose. This book teaches you how to connect well with your art and passion, which eventually leads to you standing out from the crowd






10. Think Again 

A fantastic read! Each chapter is a realisation of what happened then. What kept anyone away from that nearly a good decision. It talks about a culture of knowing what we don't. The exact process of thinking, rethinking and vitalizing.
I will recommend each agreeable personality to consider it as an important read. 




11. The God of Small things

I admire Around hati Roy for understanding the real problems of our society and underlining the same for readers like us. 'The God..' is itself a work that assault our social system based on chaturvarna.It depicts a picture of devastation of a highly egoistic family having a feudal background. This family is known for its feudal egos and likes to live within the boundaries of their so called ' Khandani' traditions.But the circumstances make the family to face complete devastation and finally  the egos of money, education and aristocracy are finished to ashes. Around hati Roy must be congratulated for this fiction based on the truths of our society.




12. Kafka On Shore

This is great book which shows the relationship between consciousness and unconsciousness very carefully and i an nostalgic way. It is a boom that continue to attract the attention of the reader in different way in every different chapter. A magnificent work. This my first time reading writing of Haruki Murakami, and I enjoyed it very much that I am eager to read more of his writing





13. The Power of Habit

Duhigg explains the concept of habit in a very unique way. Its easy to understand.He shares the stories and experiences of numerous people and with the knowledge of psychology he perfectly delivers the concepts of habits.




14. Jonathan Livingston Seagull

In this book "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" the author has emphasized two things, one of which is that you don't have to live within your limits even if everyone is doing it because it is your life and you've got the freedom to live it how you want while the second thing is that your body is not your limit but it is just a thought you think.






15. Tuesday with Morrie

A moving book with lots of lessons and values on how to live life, from a bedridden old lecturer, Morrie. He highlights the simple yet powerful moments in life that we should cherish, forever. A great, moving book, where if you're like me, a note-taker, you'll find yourself furiously scribbling many notes on the values upholded by Morrie, and smiling as you read them, as they touch your heart in many ways possible.




16. How to win Friends and Influence People

Dale Carnegie is one the famous author and this is beginners list book must read.








17. Think Fast and Slow

Book is very  nice for  knowing the psychology facts behind  economic behaviors. Its all explain in a concise manner so we can easily extrapolate the concept to our  shopping pattern .Evidence - based  cognitive  science at its best .an attempt to overcome biases to make better decisions and acquire higher quality of life .it's  a slow book but really makes you think an insight about human - behaviour.one of the  best book I have ever read.




18.  Anxiety

In Anxiety: Overcome It and Live without Fear, clinical psychologist Sonali Gupta delves into the condition, using case studies to identify how anxiety can be triggered at work, in relationships, and by social media. Gupta shares a unique glimpse into this mental health condition in India, especially among Gen Z and millennials.






19. Grit 

This is a great book! It has many great examples that can help in a student's life, and can influence the life of anyone. The examples of being at West Point and telling differences between people who strive and "naturals" can be really inspirational, telling that not everyone has to be a natural at a certain task. Good read.






20. The Promise Land

Beautifully written! Very informative book on various subjects of what a President goes through, and what he personally went through during his time in the White House.He is such an eloquent speaker, and beautiful, intelligent person.







21. My Life is Full

Highly motivating & inspiring book. A must read for everyone who feel stuck at work or trying to move forward in career. This book really pushes you and makes you realise the importance of being independent financially, hurdles faced when you go up the organisational ladder, personal life struggle to balance work vs fam. 




22. Mindset

I found the book bloated, with all the sorts of long-winded "inspirational" stories from Mozart to Jackson Pollock that you can find online anywhere. The gist of the book is a strong argument for "growth mindset" over "fixed mindset"






23. The 4 - Hour Workweek

Tim Ferris teaches a new way of looking at our life goals and our work ethic. This book doesn't sell false dreams at the same time it shows that if we get our priorities straight, we can probably achieve the core dream in our lives.

25. The Fault in Our Star

It is about two young cancer patients (teenagers), who fall in love. Fate has got a twisted game plan, flipping the book upside down. The fight cancer patients put up, the loss their families and loved ones will have to bear, the uncertainty of a loving relationship, the fast paced infinities.
This story has got a beautiful insight to it, it's one of the best books I've read.
