My Experience at AWS Summit Bengaluru 2024

 Early Start and Arrival

On the day of the AWS Summit Bengaluru 2024, I made my way to the Sheraton Hotel in Whitefield bright and early. As an early bird, I was fortunate to receive some exclusive swags upon registering. The event was off to a fantastic start with this pleasant surprise!




 Breakfast and Networking

After securing my ID, I headed to the breakfast area where a lavish buffet awaited. While enjoying the delicious spread, I had the opportunity to meet and chat with a fellow attendee from HCL. It was a great way to kick off the day, sharing our enthusiasm for the upcoming sessions and activities.


 Keynote Session

At 10:00 AM, the keynote session began, with a primary focus on Generative AI (GenAI) services. The speakers highlighted the transformative potential of GenAI and how AWS is leading innovation in this space. It was inspiring to hear about the advancements and the future direction of AWS services.



 Exploring Sponsor Stalls

Post-keynote, I explored the various sponsor stalls. Companies like Snowflake, MongoDB, and Datadog showcased how they leverage AWS services to enhance their offerings. It was enlightening to see real-world applications and innovations powered by AWS.


Quiz Competition and More Swags

I couldn't resist participating in the quiz competition, and to my delight, I won some more swags! The competition was fun and engaging, testing our knowledge of AWS services and cloud computing in general.



 Activity Zones

The summit featured different zones, each offering unique experiences:

- Developer Lounge: A hub for developers to connect and collaborate.

- Innovation Street: Showcasing cutting-edge projects and solutions.

- Photo Booth: Capture memories with friends and colleagues.

- AI Cricket Commentary: An exciting blend of sports and AI.

- Games Powered by AWS: Various interactive games demonstrating AWS services.

- AI Astrologer: A fun and quirky activity predicting your future with AI.

One of my favorite zones was the AI Avatar booth. They took my photo, transformed it into an AI avatar, and printed it in a beautiful photo frame. It was a unique and memorable keepsake from the summit.




Afternoon Sessions and Lunch

After a delectable lunch, I attended expert sessions on AWS Bedrock, AWS Data Analytics services, and Amazon Q. These sessions provided deep insights into the capabilities and best practices of AWS tools and services.


F1 Game Day

At 2:30 PM, I participated in the F1 Game Day, a thrilling code competition. We were tasked with performing ETL operations and creating dashboards using data related to Formula 1 cars. There were five business scenarios to tackle, and our team utilized AWS Lambda, Glue, S3, DynamoDB, and API Gateway. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience, and we were thrilled to be the runners-up!



Wrapping Up

By the evening, I was quite tired but immensely satisfied with the day's activities. I made sure to explore all the stalls one last time, collecting more goodies and networking with fellow attendees. The summit concluded at 6:00 PM, leaving me with a wealth of knowledge, new connections, and a bag full of swags.


Attending the AWS Summit Bengaluru 2024 was an incredible experience. It was a day filled with learning, networking, and fun activities. I can't wait for the next summit!
